Got questions? Big questions about life?
What is Alpha
Alpha is a series of 10 sessions exploring the Christian faith in an open and friendly environment. Each session is based around a different aspect of faith and is designed to encourage open discussion and the opportunity to freely share points of view. Alpha courses are run around the world by many different denominations of the Christian faith.
What is the format of the sessions?
The start of every session is a meal where we get to know each other a bit more. After that there is a talk or video that covers the main topic. Then we break out into small groups for open discussion. Nothing is out of bounds and you are free to just listen or participate as much or as little as you would like.
Who is Alpha for?
The course is aimed at people who do not regularly attend church but is open to everyone who would like to attend. It is intended to be a safe environment for attendees to explore the basics of the Christian faith. If at any point you think the course is not for you that is not a problem, there is no commitment, no pressure and no charge. People come to Alpha courses for all sorts of reasons, they may be exploring if God exists, they may be wondering if there is life after death and some people just would like to know more about Christian beliefs.
