Small Groups

Wholeheartedly together!

Small groups are a great place for making friends, building relationships and growing in our Christian lives. We believe that people should have the choice to be a part of whichever small group best suits them. Therefore we have a good range of different types of groups.

• They meet at different times: some during the day and some in the evening.
• They have different compositions: some are ladies groups, some are men’s groups, and some are mixed groups.
• They focus on different things: some are for those who are exploring what Christianity is all about, and some are for those who are mature in the faith and want to explore more in depth bible study, prayer or worship.

Evening groups

Spiritually Single - Ladies who meet to support and encourage one another, sharing problems and concerns as they grow together. Meet on a Monday, for ladies, leader is Carol Chamberlain.

Going for Gold - Supporting and encouraging one another towards greater Godliness, Openness, Love and Discipleship. Meet on a Tuesday, mixed, leader is Helen Sturch.

Interactive Bible Study - Interacting with the written Word, with your own thoughts & attitudes, with other people, and with God as you study the scriptures. All ages. Meet on a Tuesday, mixed, leaders are David and Linda Molden.

2 by 2 - Couples group meeting weekly. Meet on a Tuesday, for couples, leaders are Colin & Michelle Hamilton.

Brothers in Arms - Guys being real with one another, supporting and encouraging one another, growing spiritually. Meet on a Tuesday, for men, leader is Brendan Cerff.

Barnabas - Meet once every two weeks to have fellowship and explore Christianity more (more recent christians). Meet on alternate Tuesdays, for men, leader is an Phillips.

Salt - Focus is praying and caring for their kids. Meet every other Tuesday, for ladies, leader is Annette Benham.

GOLF - Guys who meet together for an evening of relaxed topical discussion. Meet on a Wednesday, for men, leader is Trevor Hamilton.

C The Way - Friendship, fun and sharing, support, and learning from God’s word. Meet on a Wednesday, mixed, leaders are Linda Marriott and Alan Whitaker.

Faith and Fellowship - For times of fellowship, growing in faith together. Meet on a Wednesday, mixed, leaders are Joe and Rita Lansdell, Peter and Betty Stockley.

Group G - For mutual support and spiritual growth through sharing, bible study and having fun together. Meet on a Wednesday, mixed, leaders are Fiona Griffiths & Brenda Chan.

Special K - Meet together for Bible study, prayer, worship, fellowship and fun in a non-threatening atmosphere. Meet on a Wednesday, mixed, leader is Carol Wagon.

Next Step - A group for those young in the faith who want to enjoy exploring the Bible, prayer and the spiritual disciplines. Meet on a Wednesday, mixed, leaders are Graham and Philippa Piper.

Pathfinders - Looking for Biblical answers to life’s challenges. A mixed group of ‘Pilgrims’, looking at how Jesus confronts today’s controversies. Meet on a Thursday, mixed, is Maureen Hemmett.

Girls Allowed - Growing closer to each other and to the Lord through creative ways of studying the bible, socialising and being girls together. Meet on a Thursday, for ladies, leader is Sharon Golightly.

Still Girls Allowed - A group christian ladies looking to explore the bible and to growing relationships with each other.  Meet on Thursdays, for ladies, leader is Joy Durrant.

Journey Home - A group of new christian ladies exploring Christianity. Meet on a Thursday, for ladies, leader is Lisa Phillips.

Heart and Soul - A group of sisters committed to Christ and each other. Growing together through love, prayer and encouragement. Meet on a Thursday, for ladies, leader is Suzanne Davis.

Day time groups

P.U.S.H. - Pray Until Something Happens. Catch the passion and power of prayer through prayer study, praying for C.B.C and for one another. Make friends through fun, fellowship and food Meet on a Monday, mixed, leader is Jean Herring.

Agape - Continuation of the ladies alpha group, seeking to grow in wisdom, understanding and knowledge of God and the riches He has for us. Meet on a Monday, for ladies, leader is Valerie Fentiman.

Group J - Mature Christians who get together for a bite to eat and a friendly chat, leading to bible study and prayer. Meet on a Wednesday, mixed, leaders are Rita Kitcherside & Jim Tyson.

Girl Fridays - Meeting for Christian fellowship, friendship and fun! Meet on a Friday, for ladies, leader is Linda Baker.

Group M - Older people’s group focusing on Bible study & fellowship. Meet on a Friday, mixed, leader is Joy Tilley.

9-90 - Group for all age groups lead by Lyn Carmen meets at the church every Monday.
